loja ecuadorWelcome to our website!

We are Marcos and Avi, originally from Mexico.  We have built our beautiful hotel here in Vilcabamba, Ecuador with much attention to art, architecture and landscaping, to allow our guests a truly refreshing & relaxing get-away.  We are located just a half-block off Vilcabamba's charming town square, offering proximity to the town's restaurants, bars and coffeeshops, while also providing a quiet and comfortable retreat.

ecuador natureOur hotel courtyard is truly a "hidden garden."  We have more than a dozen private rooms arranged around this space, each unique, while our interior gardens give everyone a sense of privacy.  There are hammocks in front of the rooms, for afternoon siestas.  We also operate what is considered the best Mexican restaurant in Vilcabamba - which also serves international cuisine and great vegetarian fare.  Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.  If you'd like to see our restaurant menu, just click the Restaurant tab, above!  You can see restaurant and room photos on our Hotel Photos page.ecuador weather

Many of our rooms feature high ceilings with natural wood beams.  All our rooms are cheerful and colorful, and have floors of traditional sautillo tile.  Our swimming pool, jacuzzi, garden palapa and furnishings have all been designed with an eye to detail and craftsmanship - just see our Hotel Photos page.

Why did we choose Vilcabamba, Ecuador?  Because, it's an extremely beautiful and tranquil small town set in the Andean foothills, located in a valley that was considered sacred by the Incan elders.  In the native language, Vilcabamba means "sacred valley."  There are mountain views from every spot in town, and the weather is cool and comfortable - no worries about being sweaty or being chased around by bugs!

vilcabamba town squareJust across the street from our hotel is an excellent horse-tour service, and others are nearby.  Either on foot or by horseback, you can explore nearby Podocarpus National Park.  Or, just relax on the town square at a coffeeshop or restaurant, and watch the world go by.  There are a dozen quaint restaurants set on or near the town square.

If you're looking for a place with wild nightlife and "non-stop action," Vilcabamba is...probably not for you!  But, if you're looking for a quiet getaway in a relaxed and friendly setting, with an interesting mixture of local and foreign residents, Vilcabamba might be the ideal spot.
